You described the feeling as cold. I described it as empty.

http://livnletlrn.blogspot.com/2009/10/past-few-days-and-more-stitches.html

Either way, we clearly have similar feelings about our Stitches experience. My 11 y.o. knitter daughter and I have decided we're glad we checked it out, but prob. won't go back, even though Hartford's only 10 min. from home.

See you 'round the sheep and wool festivals!

Good to hear your review of this event!! I had wondered about it....but didn't sense nearly as much positive energy around it as there is around Rhinebeck.

That is really too bad about the no photo policy. No photos even for personal use??? (I know that means you couldn't put them in your blog, but I like to take photos as a way of seeing and as a way of remembering.)

Sounds like you now have even more interesting projects that I'm looking forward to seeing!!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this event!

Sorry you felt that way. This was my first Stitches & I can't compare it to Rhinebeck since I've never been, but I found everyone warm & friendly. I came on my own & had no problem meeting people, being approached by strangers & chatting with anyone & everyone around. I guess I'm a "old" 37.
