I like my tools to be beautiful too - although my shuttles (only 2) are shuttles I bought from a European company. I'm not even sure what language I was shopping in when I bought my bobbin winder. I have a cherry and a walnut. They don't use the white plastic Schacht bobbins, but the wooden version works fine. With the closed bottom, they g-l-i-d-e across with ease. These are joyful shuttles. My workhorse shuttles are the 12" Schacht end feed shuttles. ANd, I couldn't agree with you more. There's nothing as wonderful as finely crafted wooden work tools.
